OPEN-CALL for meeting in Göteborg, Sweden
Open-Call for artists with disabilities, researchers and writers with an interest in the subject of: crip theory, disability aesthetics, and the presence of disability in modern and contemporary art (including the art of HIV/AIDS), to apply for a portfolie viewing / meeting with Professor and curator Dr. Ann M Fox and scholar-curator Jessica Cooley both curated the exhibition Re/Formations: Disability, Women, and Sculpture which they will present in a lecture at Göteborgs Konsthall Saturday March 5th.
The day before, Friday the 4th of March the selected applicants will get a chance to meet Fox and Cooley privately in 15 min segments to discuss their work, receive feed-back and create networks. We will start these individual meetings at 4-6pm after which we will enjoy Afterwork social hour until 7pm - open to the public where everyone will get a chance to speak to each other. We will serve drinks and lighter snacks.

Dr. Ann M. Fox and Jessica Cooley will begin by discussing the exhibition “Re/Formations: Disability, Women, and Sculpture” that they co-curated at the Van Every/Smith Galleries at Davidson College, North Carolina expanding into a discussion concerning crip theory, disability aesthetics, and the presence of disability in modern and contemporary art (including the art of HIV/AIDS).
