Pär Darell had the idea of organizing an exhibition where artists created artwork on standard A4 paper based upon a specific subject and invited me as co-curator. We each invited about twenty artists each to send us their interpretation of the word “Kåt” which means “Horny” in Swedish. My selection of artist varied from Spencer Tunick and Michael Portnoy to Guerrilla Girls, Shi Young and Eva and Adele.
The sheets where then displayed with push pins directly on the wall of Galleri Box in alphabetical order by first name.
After the exhibition was finished each artwork was reproduced as thumbnails in the Swedish Art Magazine Paletten, in which a random selected full size A4 reproduction of each piece also came as a supplement in the magazine. The magazine release and a discussion concerning censorship in art was held at the gallery.
The exhibition got publicity in Swedish television TV4 and in Dagens Nyheter.
